X Launches Cashtag Partners to Connect Market Insights With Trading Platforms
X has introduced Cashtag Partners for U.S. mobile users, adding live market charts and direct links to external trading platforms for supported stocks and cryptocurrencies.
X has rolled out Cashtag Partners, a new feature designed to make financial conversations on the platform more actionable. The feature is available to U.S. mobile users and builds on X’s existing cashtag functionality for viewing market prices and related discussions.
Users can tap symbols such as $BTC or $TSLA to access live charts, relevant posts and a new Trade button. The button connects users with external trading platforms, including Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken, Moomoo and Interactive Brokers.
Importantly, X does not execute the trades itself. Transactions take place on the partners’ platforms, meaning users leave X to complete the trading process.
The update connects two previously separate activities on X: discovering market information through posts and taking action through a third-party trading service. For investors and financial creators, this could make market conversations more directly connected to trading workflows.
For X, Cashtag Partners also represents another step toward expanding the practical utility of financial content on the platform, while keeping actual transactions with external providers.
