Manus 2.0 Launches With a New AI Agent Architecture and Creative Workspace

Manus has launched Manus 2.0, describing it as more than a conventional software update. The release introduces a new architecture, new products and a broader approach to how AI agents can work across professional and everyday tasks.

At the centre is Cascade, Manus’ latest in-house agent harness. The company says that in one tested configuration, Cascade used 23.2% fewer tokens, completed tasks 28.2% faster and cost 32% less to run than its previous system. Manus 2.0 also introduces Cloud Computer, giving projects a dedicated environment for always-on workloads such as automations and multiplayer games.

Another major upgrade is Automations. Instead of triggering tasks only on schedules, Manus can now respond to events such as new emails, changes in advertising performance, calendar events, Slack messages or Notion updates. Users can describe what they want monitored and what action should follow.

The desktop experience has also evolved into Manus Studio, a workspace combining AI and human control across documents, spreadsheets, presentations, websites, code, video and games. Its new Video Editor lets users generate a first cut and then manually adjust clips, audio, text and motion graphics. An Alchemy mode provides AI-driven creative direction for higher-quality video outputs.

For game creators, the new Game Dev environment combines coding, image and video capabilities, while Cloud Computer can handle multiplayer hosting. Manus also adds Remote Control and Computer Use, allowing authorized AI sessions to interact with a user’s computer.

Perhaps the most ambitious addition is Cue, a standalone personal-agent app. Agents can have their own email, phone number, wallet and computer, while multiple agents can collaborate through group conversations. Cue is currently in early access, with the invite code MEETCUE available to the first 1,000 users.
