Google is making AI-powered video creation more accessible with Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash integrated into Google Vids. Anyone with a Google or Google Workspace account can now create high-quality videos at no cost.
Users can generate AI video scenes and control them beyond simple text prompts. New capabilities include extending scenes while maintaining visual consistency, setting specific clip durations and generating or upscaling videos in 1080p HD.
The update has practical applications across marketing and content creation. Small businesses can turn product images into promotional videos, while marketing teams can create content for landing pages, social media announcements and digital events.
Google is also adding transparency features: every video clip generated with Omni 1.1 in Vids includes an invisible SynthID watermark, allowing viewers to identify AI-generated content.
Google says Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite text-to-speech will also be coming soon, enabling natural-sounding voiceovers in more than 100 languages.
