Meta has introduced Muse for Small Business, expanding its personal AI agent into a tool designed to help entrepreneurs manage everyday business operations. The new version allows owners to give Muse broader goals, such as running parts of their business or finding new customers, while connecting it to the software they already use.
Muse can connect with platforms including Shopify, QuickBooks, Canva, Slack, Dropbox, Notion, Stripe, Zoom, Klaviyo, Asana and Figma, as well as Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and Meta advertising accounts. Once connected, Muse can work with business information such as sales, campaigns, brand assets, customer questions and financial data.
Meta says businesses can ask Muse to analyze sales and marketing performance, create growth plans, identify unusual expenses, improve advertising and content, or review information from email and calendars. The agent can also proactively flag items that may require attention and prepare drafts.
A key part of the system is human approval. Meta says Muse will not publish content, send messages or spend money without the owner’s approval. Businesses can also create custom connectors for services that are not natively supported.
This represents a shift from AI being used mainly as a chatbot toward AI becoming an operational layer across multiple business applications. Instead of switching between separate tools, an owner can give Muse a goal and allow it to work across connected systems.
For small businesses, this could be particularly relevant because one person often handles marketing, sales, finance, customer service and administration.
Akash Takes: The interesting part is connectivity. Muse isn’t simply another AI chatbot—it is being positioned as an AI operator that can work across the tools a business already uses. For marketers and agencies, connecting ads, CRM, content, analytics and commerce into one agent could open the door to much more automated business workflows.
