Google has officially launched Googlebook, a new premium laptop category designed to combine the strengths of Android and ChromeOS. The first lineup includes devices from Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, Dell and HP, with prices starting at $899.
The laptops come with high-end displays, touchscreen options, haptic trackpads and processors from Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite. Acer, ASUS and Lenovo use Intel chips, while Dell and HP offer Snapdragon-powered models.
A major focus is integration with Android phones. Users can access phone apps and files directly from their laptop, transfer tasks between devices and continue workflows without starting over. Google promises software updates for up to 10 years, while every device includes 16GB RAM and 512GB storage as standard.
